Welcome to my breaker guide, as many of you know breaker can be a powerful assest to any party in PVM and PVP with good Breakers taking down even the most well equipped players in one or two hits. They represent the other extreme of the Assassin Cross where katars focus on quick fast strikes to whittle down an opponent Breakers use extreme force to bring them down in one single overwhelming blow.
::STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES::(2)
The kRO name for Breaker is Soul Destroyer and it does just that. With the correct build and equipment a breaker can pull off ten thousand damage easily. It is also a ranged attack meaning that you have some distance to run off if you fail to kill an opponent in a single hit and combined with cloak can be a nasty surprise for anyone or anything you come across.
Now this is all well and good but breaker is not without some weaknesses namely a 2.8 cool down in which there is only three things you can do either a.) Run off and hope your target does not catch up, b.) Use a fly wing to escape in PVM or PVP or c.) stand dumbfounded and hope you survive until the next hit. Also Breaker performs HORRIBLY in WoE in which we suffer from a 50% damage reduction in ranged attacks and 25% damage reduction to Magic damage with that on top of the 50% damage reduction by equips alone we might as well roll up and die in WoE.
so to wrap it up
PVM: A+ anything under 20k hp is a sure kill with a good breaker.
PVP: B+ Damage reduction is not as bad as WoE, expect to see 4k~6k damage.
WoE: F-- Hope you like respawning, because that's what you're gonna be doing.
::EQUIPMENT::(3)
As much as I hate to admit it, equipment is what makes or breaks (heh) a character.
For maximum damage output it is recommended you use Swords instead of the Assassin's trademark Katars because they do more damage and have quite a bit more slots (8 if you're lucky)

-Elemental Haedonggnum (+3 Int)
-+8 Saber[3] (with Andre Cards or Zipper Bear cards)
-Excalibur (Holy Property and +5 Int)
-Fireblend or Ice Falchion (see notes)
-Any High attack slotted Weapons
-Recommended Off(Left) Hand Equipment
-Ice Pick (if you can afford -_-)
-any 4 slot weapon filled with ATK cards
-+8 Saber[3]
-Recommended Armor
-+#Chain Mail w/ Pecopeco, Marc, Evil Druid, Pupa Card etc
-Recommended Headgears
-Helm of the Sun God (+3 Str +2 Int what's not to love?)
-Crown of Mistress (+2 Int 150 SP)
-Tiara (+2 Int)
-Evil Wings (+1 Str plus they look ebil looking :3)
-Carat Card in any head gear (same stats as Crown of Mistress)
-Recommended Garment
-Immune Muffler (Raydric card) No question, you'll be a human punching bag for 2.8 seconds, this lessens the hurt
-Recommended Accessories
-Two Earrings (+2 INT ea)
-Two Clip of Muscles (+10 sp + 3 STR ea)
-Two Ring of Muscles (+4 STR ea)
-Owl Baron Card (Lex Aeterna is fuuuun)
-Recommended Boots
-+9~10 Boots with Firelock Card +2 STR and 10% boost to HP and SP!!
-Verit Card 8% HP and SP, a classic
-Firelock Card +2 STR the strength boost isn't so bad alone.
-Matyr Card 10% HP boost and +1 to AGI, Leave this to AGI builds.
Notes:
-Elemental Damage affects the Physical Portion Only
-Fireblend and Ice Falchion are rumored to ignore the Raydric Card
-Auto cast does in fact work with Breaker and is also rumored to bypass the casting cool down
-Upgrades only work for the main hand

Learn to love this formula because it is the basis, the core of many skill in RO not just Breaker.
ATK (not damage) = STR + (STR/10)^2 + (DEX/5) + (LUK/5) + Weapon ATK
Notes: STR is one of the pillars of Breaker so increase it in multiples of ten, Dex is equally important as the physical part can and will miss and as shown above contributes to damage
::BREAKER FORMULA::(5)
Now for the skill itself, the damage is heavily based on STR and INT. I'll break (heh) it down for you guys and try to keep the number crunching at a minimum, also note that Breaker does not use matk and ignores mdef.
::PHYSICAL PORTION::(5a)
The Physical portion of Breaker is calculated at: ATK(see told ya) *Soul Breaker Skill Level (henceforth known as Sblvl) So for my example with my 382 ATK
382*10 = 3820 physical damage (easy eh?)
Notes: This portion of Breaker can be affected by elements and will miss also because 1 STR equals 1 ATK a single point in STR = 1 damage.
::MAGIC PORTION::(5b)
The magic portion will never miss unless your opponent is of the ghost property because the element is always Neutral and can never be changed. The formula is as follows
[(sblvl * INT)*5] + Random Damage (500~1000) so for example with 100 INT
[(10 * 100)*5] + 500~1000 = 5500~6000 magic Neutral damage
This is the saving grace for Breaker, unblockable damage and for every one INT it adds 50 more damage making this a more desirable stat to raise. The only way anyone can stop this is with a Ghostring Card good luck finding that

There are variations to being a breaker of course they would vary as does your taste varies but here are some I thought of in my head.
-My Build:
STR: 80+10 10 Meteor Assault
INT: 93+7 10 Breaker (This is a given people!)
DEX: 42+8 10 Sonic Blow (surprise!)
VIT: REST 10 Katar Mastery
10 Cloak / Hide
5 Adv. Katar Mastery
My build is somewhat a hybrid or just a regular Breaker build with katars thrown in for kicks.
The Katars are in because of certain lessons learned in PvP (I hate you pneuma) and as Sonic Blow is excellent for delivering various status ailments to disrupt another players game.
