What Are You Listening To?

Before I head off to catch some well-needed and deserved sleep, I was just wondering about everyone's music tastes. I love music. So, recommend something to me. And maybe, just maybe, I'll recommend something back. Heh, okay, not maybe, but I will.

So, what are you pleasing your ears with?

As for what I like I say:

-Daphne Loves Derby
-Fall Out Boy
-Taking Back Sunday

I am more of an alternative fan but rap, sum country is alright, pop and all that other stuff is good too.

Anybody happen to love slow songs heh.

I love Alkaline Trio. o.o
I almost went to see Fall Out boy. Instead my friend went. They were sold out at the show.
Blink 182's drummer, Travis Barker, is amazing. <3

I have not heard Daphne Loves Derby, Black Eyed Peas (though I love to eat them), The Pillows, or Strike Anywhere. I'll check 'em out! =D

I am more into indie/folk/ambient mixtures. Here are my recommendations (I will add more later):

- Sufjan Stevens - esp "Chicago"
- Mute Math - their drummer is choice.
- Anathallo - love the brass.
- Minus the Bear
- Saxon Shore - "instrumental music for people who don't like instrumental music"
- Sigur Rós - stinkin' awesome Icelandic band.
- The Avett Brothers - I saw a DVD of them... I want to see them live, they are HILARIOUS.
- The Decemberists
- Eisley - for those of you who might like some great female vocals.

Strike Anywhere seems like it would be a band that would be better live than on recordings.
Daphne Loves Derby = love. <3 the vocalist is sooo calming. okay. I'm just going through the songs on myspace. and wow. <3 <3 <3
Black Eyed Peas is.. interesting. But not something I normally would listen to. But it is interesting.

Yeah, I heard some of AnarchyX music. It is pretty good. He put some of the songs on the Link City forum board and I did also with this one Japanese song.

But i freaking LOVED Mute Math (ive heard them before but didnt know their name) and Minus the bear ^^

as for ruines's music, i dont like the black eyed peas eather, fall out boy and daphne loved derby are ok, and i love taking back sunday. when i went to see blink 182, TBS was opening for them, then there was another weird band after them (cypress hills) that we didnt like at all, so we went and talked with the ugys of TBS for a while, they where all really kool and the guitar player was teaching me how to play one of their songs ^^ Really good memory and one of the best concerts ever.... even though the shows themselves where kinda lame since we tryed sneaking into the front of the stage but got kicked out by security and sent to the back again...

Anywho.... good sounds guys ^^

I talk to these guys on MSN alot, but they used to have a diferent guitar player who made their first 3 songs, and then he quit. Those where the best 3 songs they'l ever make... i probably have the only copies of them now....

@x: I have to admit I don't like the studio songs of the Avett Brothers as much as I like watching them live... they are really hilarious live. But here's the skinny on them: three guys, one on standup bass, one on banjo, and one on guitar and vocals. They also seem to play what looks like a child's drumset taken apart. It's really, really interesting to watch. =D
Anyway:
- Saga High is pretty good. I think it would be better with no vocals, but that is just me. =D I like the effects.
- Hit The Switch - Holy Cow. Pretty awesome. And Nitro Records, eh? That's the record company that has AFI. o.o
- Kalinsky is pretty good. Lol they just screamed. Haha. Do I spy X's myspace? o.o

- wow. that is very very different. it's too bad I can't understand what they are saying. I have slow ears... and I keep listening to the background music. =D but not bad.
- that is awesome. funny too. but it's a cool song. x]
- I like it. especially the beginning.
- holy cow do I hear like a clarinet or something?? that's awesome. I like it. lots. I <3 instrumentals.
- awesome. reminds me a bit of Sublime.
- not my favorite. =]
